The Hollowed Log was used at the Cave Mouth. So whoever is at the Cave Mouth used the Hollowed Log.

Skyshade gathered more water than Ironvale but less than the clan on the Beach. So the Beach total is higher than Skyshade’s, and Skyshade’s is higher than Ironvale’s.

Of the two middle totals, 14 and 17 quarts, one was at the Clearing and the other at the Cliffside. So Clearing and Cliffside are exactly 14 and 17 in some order.

Tidalspire did not use the Palm Leaves, and their total was greater than everyone else’s. Therefore Tidalspire collected 23 quarts.

The Clay Jar collected more than the Palm Leaves. So Clay Jar’s amount is higher than Palm Leaves’ amount.

The clan on the Cliffside gathered more than 14 quarts. Since the Cliffside is one of the middle totals, the Cliffside must be 17, which forces the Clearing to be 14.

Ironvale’s collection was less than both Emberclaw’s and Skyshade’s. So Ironvale is the smallest among those three.

The Clay Jar’s amount was not the least, and it was not used at the Beach. So Clay Jar is neither 11 quarts nor at the Beach.

The Palm Leaves were not used by Emberclaw or Ironvale. So Palm Leaves belong to either Skyshade or Tidalspire. But Tidalspire cannot use Palm Leaves, so Palm Leaves must belong to Skyshade.

Now place the largest total. Since Tidalspire is the greatest, it must be the 23-quart site. The Beach total is higher than Skyshade’s, and 23 is the only total larger than both 14 and 17, so the Beach must be 23. Therefore Tidalspire is at the Beach with 23 quarts.

With the Clearing fixed at 14 and Cliffside at 17, the only remaining location totals are 11 (Cave Mouth) and the two we’ve already placed. The Hollowed Log is at the Cave Mouth, so the Cave Mouth’s total is 11.

Clay Jar is not least and not at the Beach, so Clay Jar must be used at either the Clearing (14) or the Cliffside (17). Palm Leaves are Skyshade’s, so Skyshade cannot use the Clay Jar; likewise the Hollowed Log is already at the Cave Mouth and the Giant Clam Shells are available elsewhere.

Ironvale is less than both Emberclaw and Skyshade. The only way to guarantee Ironvale is less than both is to make Ironvale the 11-quart Cave Mouth clan with the Hollowed Log. That satisfies Hollowed Log at Cave Mouth and puts Ironvale strictly below the 14 and 17 totals.

Now Clay Jar must belong to Emberclaw (since Skyshade has Palm Leaves and Ironvale has the Hollowed Log, and Tidalspire is at the Beach with the remaining device). Clay Jar must exceed Palm Leaves in amount, so Emberclaw’s total must be higher than Skyshade’s. With the middle amounts 14 and 17 assigned to Clearing and Cliffside, this forces Emberclaw to be the 17-quart Cliffside clan with the Clay Jar, and Skyshade to be the 14-quart Clearing clan with the Palm Leaves.

Tidalspire, already at the Beach with the largest total, cannot use Palm Leaves and cannot be the Hollowed Log or Clay Jar we’ve placed; the remaining device is the Giant Clam Shells, which fits.
